Modified American Plan
We offer the Modified American Plan which includes breakfast and dinner, daily full housekeeping services, and the use of Cataloochee Ranch amenities. Lunches, both menu and picnic, are available daily, but are not included in the rates.
Guests dress for comfort; jeans go fine with most activities. Appropriate casual attire (no hats, but no ties either) is suggested for dinner, and sweaters or light jackets feel good in the evening. At our 5,000-foot elevation, the temperature may slip to the 50s at night and rise to the mid-70s during the day. Wintertime calls for layers of warm garb for enjoying outdoor fun.

Reservations
- When requesting reservations, please state the exact date of arrival and departure.
- Reservations are accepted with the understanding that payment will be made for the full period.
- Because of its special nature, Cataloochee Ranch does not encourage one-night reservations. Minimum stays are required during certain months of the year.
- Deposits are required when you are booking your reservation:
• One-night deposit for one- to three-night reservations
• Two-night deposit for four- to six-night reservations
• Three-night deposit for seven-night or more reservations
- Major credit cards accepted: American Express, MasterCard, and Visa
- Cancellations are accepted under the following guidelines:
• Deposits are refundable with 30 DAYS notice of cancellation.
• Refunds for shorter notice are contingent upon our being able to fill the reservation.
• There will be a $50 ADMINISTRATIVE CHARGE per unit for all cancellations.
- Check-in Time
Rooms are usually ready by 4:00 P.M. If you should arrive before your accommodations are ready you should be prepared to enjoy the beauty of the surroundings while you wait.
- Check-out Time
To assure tidy accommodations for our incoming guests, we ask that you check out by 11:00 A.M. Arrangements can be made for changing or storing luggage if you wish to stay through lunch. An additional day will be charged unless arrangements have been made with the office personnel.
- Payment
- Preferred forms of payment upon departure are travelers' checks, personal checks, or cash. We accept American Express, MasterCard, and Visa.
- Special Events
Contact us about hosting your special events (birthday parties, receptions, dinner parties, meetings, and so on) at either the Main Ranch House, the Silverbell Lodge, or the Wildflower Garden.
- Telephones
Courtesy telephones are available in the Main Ranch House and in the Silverbell Lodge Balsam Room.
Service Charge
A 18% service charge will be added to your total bill to cover services provided by household and food service personnel.
N. C. Sales Tax
A 6.75% sales tax will be added to lodging costs.
Haywood County Room Tax
A 4% room tax will be added to lodging costs.
